EUREKA, Ill. – Eureka College is proud to unveil the Eureka College Athletics Foundation (ECAF), the new fundraising arm of the Eureka College Department of Athletics. ECAF has four giving societies ranging in level of philanthropic support with "The Gold Ax Society" serving as the top level of ECAF.
"We are all fortunate to represent an institution with a proven record of changing the world," Eureka College Director of Athletics Steve Thompson said. "Support for the Eureka College Athletics Foundation will directly benefit more than 200 student-athletes chasing their dreams in the classroom and in competition."
Membership at the top level is also membership in the new Athletics Advisory Council. This group has exclusive access to the Eureka College Director of Athletics and is the leadership fundraising catalyst in support of the department and its quest for excellence at all levels. The council will meet twice per year to advise the department on strategic initiatives and also be the first to receive exclusive information regarding the Eureka College Department of Athletics.
Other philanthropic levels include the "Iron Ax Society", "Bronze Ax Sociey" and "Silver Ax Society". All ECAF members – regardless of donation level – will receive a yearly athletic pass to all home events and a variety of other benefits and perks.
ECAF is open to everyone. Contributions can be split between a specific team and the department.
"The choice to make a gift and become a member of the Eureka College Athletics Foundation is an investment in our student-athletes that will pay dividends in their lives and our communities," Thompson said. "With donors' support, we have opened the Christine Bonati Bollwinkle Arena and Convocation Center and renovated McKinzie Field. Our student-athletes have been more successful in competition, winning two conference championships and qualifying for the NCAA Championship."
