LOUIS, Mo. -- Eureka College junior pitcher Kali George (East Peoria, Ill./East Peoria H.S.) was named St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week and junior center fielder Krysten Wallace (Bartonville, Ill./Limestone H.S.) was picked SLIAC Hitter of the Week, the league announced Monday afternoon.

LOUIS, Mo. -- Eureka College sophomore Brett Charlton (Eureka, Ill./Eureka H.S.) became the first EC track & field student-athlete to receive weekly honors from the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference since 2013 when the league selected him as this week's field athlete of the week. Charlton won the long jump at Saturday's Cougar Invitational in River Forest, Ill.

    EUREKA, Ill. – The Eureka College softball team saw its six-game St. Louis Intercollege Athletic Conference win streak come to an end Monday, dropping both games of a league doubleheader to Greenville in Eureka. The Panthers held off a late EC rally to win game one, 4-1, before pulling away to beat the Red Devils 12-4 in game two.

    EUREKA, Ill. – Eureka College freshman outfielder Braxten Ary (Manito, Ill./Midwest Central H.S.) collected two hits and freshman right-hander Braden Mann (Metamora, Ill./Metamora H.S.) pitched into the eighth inning Monday against one of the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference’s top lineups, but Webster beat the Red Devils 6-0 in the final game of a three-game league series in St. Louis, Mo.

    EUREKA, Ill. -- Eureka College junior Ray Vogel (Bartonville, Ill./Limestone H.S.) hit his seventh home run of the season, but Webster won the first two contests of a three-game St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference West Division series on Saturday, defeating the Red Devils 17-0 in game one and winning the nightcap, 13-2.

    EUREKA, Ill. -- The Eureka College softball team earned its first victory over St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference rival Fontbonne since 2008 with a 4-1 win in game one, then overcame a five-run deficit by scoring six times in the final three innings for a wild 6-5 walk-off win in the nightcap, Saturday afternoon.

    RIVER FOREST, Ill. – Eureka College sophomore Brett Charlton (Eureka, Ill./Eureka H.S.) won the long jump and the 400-meter relay team of Trevon Moore (Aurora, Ill./Waubonsie Valley H.S.), Charlton, Josh Kuse (Heyworth, Ill./Heyworth H.S.) and Collin Aimone (Spring Valley, Ill./Hall H.S.) placed second, leading the EC men’s track & field team to a fourth-place team finish at Saturday’s Cougar Invitational hosted by Concordia in River Forest, Ill.

    JACKSONVILLE, Ill. – Eureka College sophomore shortstop Kerrigan Dura (Edwards, Ill./Brimfield H.S.) had three hits in game one and four different players had multi-RBI games in the nightcap, pushing the Red Devils to a St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference sweep of MacMurray, Wednesday afternoon in Jacksonville, Ill. EC won the opener 12-1 and followed with a 10-1 win in game two.

    EUREKA, Ill. – Tenth-year Eureka College men's basketball head coach Chip Wilde will host three different youth basketball camps this summer inside the Christine Bonati Bollwinkle Arena and Convocation Center. Wilde will host a Father-Child Clinic on June 17, a Boys & Girls Day Camp from July 24 through July 27 and an Advanced Skills Camp on July 31.

    EUREKA, Ill. – Eureka College senior third baseman Bridget Bankes (East Peoria, Ill./East Peoria H.S.) ripped her sixth career home run to highlight the Red Devils’ 11-hit attack in game one and junior second baseman Kali George (East Peoria, Ill./East Peoria H.S.) drove in four runs as part of a 3-for-3 performance in the nightcap, sending EC to a Senior Day sweep of Blackburn on Saturday. Eureka won the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference opener, 12-2 in five innings, and also won game two in five innings, 9-1.

The Red Devils will host Iowa Wesleyan in a doubleheader Friday at noon, followed by doubleheaders Saturday at noon at Westminster and Sunday at noon at Webster.
