Isom Named Second Team All-NACC

MILWAUKEE, Wis. – Eureka's DeVayne Isom (Hawthorne, Nev./Mineral County) has been named to the All-NACC Second Team, while Daniel Parhams (Columbus, Ga./Hardaway), Derrick Payton Jr. (West Seattle, Wash./O'dea), and Derrion Rogers (Elmore City, Okla./Midwest City) each received honorable mention honors.

In his freshman year, Isom served as a kick returner for the Red Devils. He finished the season with 482 total kick return yards, ranking second in the conference. His best game came on October 5th against Concordia Chicago, when he returned 4 kicks for 117 yards, averaging 29.3 yards per return. In that game, he also recorded his longest return of the season, a 51-yard effort. Later in the season, against Rockford, Isom set a career-high with 130 yards on 8 kick returns.

Fellow freshman Daniel Parhams was named All-NACC Honorable Mention after a versatile season. Parhams began the year as a defensive back but transitioned to quarterback late in the season. Offensively, he finished with 90 rushing yards, 94 passing yards, and 1 passing touchdown. His best performance came on November 2nd at Rockford, when he rushed for 103 yards while starting at quarterback. Defensively, Parhams led the Red Devils with 2 interceptions and 5 pass breakups, in addition to totaling 31 tackles (23 solo).

Derrick Payton Jr. also earned honorable mention honors. He led the team with 6 sacks for 32 yards and 13.5 tackles for loss, totaling 54 yards. Payton finished fourth on the team with 47 total tackles, including 38 solo stops. He also had 3 pass breakups, tied for third on the team. His best performance came on October 5th against Concordia Chicago, when he recorded 2 sacks for 13 yards and 6 total tackles.

The final Red Devil honoree was Derrion Rogers, who earned honorable mention recognition after a strong 7-game season. Rogers recorded 35 total tackles, tied for the eighth-most on the team, and added 2 sacks for 15 yards, second only to Payton. He also posted 5.5 tackles for loss, totaling 24 yards. Rogers' standout game came on October 11th, when he recorded 2 sacks and 8 total tackles, all solo.
