Jaxson Provost Named SLIAC Player of the Week
ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Eureka's Jaxson Provost (Kankakee, Ill./Bishop McNamara) has been named the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Player of the Week following a standout performance in the Red Devils' SLIAC opener.
Provost led Eureka to an 80-77 home victory over Blackburn on Tuesday, posting a career-high 32 points on 11-of-19 shooting, along with 3 rebounds, 5 assists, and 2 steals. With the game tied at 77-77, Provost drained the game-winning three-pointer with 5.8 seconds remaining to secure the win.
Provost is the first Red Devil to earn SLIAC Player of the Week honors since Peewee Brown during the 2023-24 season.
Provost and the Red Devils will take to the road for an exhibition matchup against Indiana State tomorrow at 7 p.m. ET before returning home to face St. Francis on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
