Eureka Men’s Soccer Set to Face Lyon in SLIAC Quarterfinals
EUREKA, Ill. – The Eureka men's soccer team will open the 2025 SLIAC Tournament as the No. 6 seed, taking on No. 3 seed Lyon in the quarterfinal round on Saturday in Batesville, Arkansas.
The match is set for a 1 p.m. kickoff on the turf at the Lyon College football complex. The Red Devils and Scots met earlier this season in Eureka, where Lyon earned a 4-0 victory.
Eureka will be seeking its first SLIAC Tournament win in program history after clinching its third postseason in the past four years.
The winner of Saturday's contest will advance to the semifinals in Greenville, Illinois. If Eureka prevails, the Red Devils will face top-seeded Greenville on Thursday, Nov. 6, at 12 p.m. If Lyon advances, the Scots will take on No. 2 seed Webster at 5 p.m. that same day.
In the other quarterfinal matchup, fourth-seeded Westminster will host No. 5 seed Principia on Saturday at 4 p.m.
