No. 20 Eureka Wins MWPVC D2 Crossover Title

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The 20th-ranked Eureka men's volleyball team continued its dominant run over the weekend, capturing the MWPVC D2 Crossover title hosted by Missouri State.

The Red Devils went a perfect 7-0 across two days, extending their winning streak to 14 matches and improving to 20-1 overall on the season.

Eureka opened the tournament with a straight-set victory over Central Missouri, 25-20, 25-18, before rolling past Southeast Missouri State, 25-17, 25-5. The Red Devils capped group play with a 25-12, 25-19 win over Kansas B.

In the challenge round to determine knockout round placement, Eureka continued its strong play with a 25-19, 25-11 victory against Harding.

Eureka carried its momentum into bracket play Sunday. The Red Devils opened the quarterfinals with a 25-17, 25-7 win over Missouri State B, then advanced to the championship match with a 25-13, 25-15 semifinal victory against Missouri S&T B.

In a rematch of their tournament opener, Eureka once again defeated Central Missouri in straight sets, 25-12, 25-18, to secure the D2 Crossover championship.

Across the weekend, the Red Devils did not drop a single set and consistently controlled play on both sides of the net, showcasing the form that has propelled them into the top 25 of the latest NCVF Division II rankings.
