Men’s Wrestling Picked Second in SLIAC Preseason Poll
ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference released its preseason poll for men's wrestling on Tuesday. Eureka was selected second with 42 points.
Ozarks topped the poll with 49 points and seven first-place votes. Huntingdon came in third with 37 points and one first-place vote, followed by Schreiner (28), McMurry (21), Westminster (18), Lyon (16), and Blackburn (13).
The Red Devils are coming off a third-place finish at last year's championships and will feature a strong mix of returners and newcomers in 2025-26.
Head Coach Eric Biehl enters his fourth season leading the program. The Red Devils return several key wrestlers, including Jacob Kaminski, who begins the season ranked No. 14 in the nation at 285 pounds after finishing as conference runner-up last year. Trevor Hedges, the 2024 SLIAC champion at 141, and Alex Muhammad, who placed third at 165, also return.
All three, Hedges, Kaminski, and Muhammad, were also named to the 2025-26 SLIAC Preseason Watch List.
Isaac Smith totaled 12 wins last year while competing between the 125 and 133-pound classes. Newcomer Billy Tucker joins the lineup as a transfer and will compete at 149.
