EUREKA, Ill. – The Eureka women's soccer team kicked off its SLIAC schedule on Sunday afternoon at McKinzie Field with a tough 11-0 loss to Westminster.
Westminster (5-4-0, 2-0-0 SLIAC) overwhelmed Eureka (3-6-0, 0-1-0) early with nine first half goals to take a commanding lead into the break. The Blue Jays outshot the Red Devils 39-1 overall and 28-0 on target.
Eureka goalkeeper Naitzy Garcia (Mendota, Ill./Mendota) made 10 saves in the first half before being relieved by Hannah Jachimiak (Arvada, Colo./Ralston Valley), who added seven saves in the second half.

Eureka returns to McKinzie Field on Wednesday to host Webster in another SLIAC showdown. Kickoff is set for 4:00 p.m.
