Women’s Wrestling Picked Second in SLIAC Preseason Poll
ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference released its preseason poll for women's wrestling on Tuesday. Eureka was selected second with 20 points and received one first-place vote from coaches.
Defending champion Schreiner topped the poll with 25 points and five first-place votes, followed by Eureka in second. McMurry came in third with 17 points, while Lyon (13), Huntingdon (9), and Westminster (6) rounded out the rankings.
The Red Devils are coming off a runner-up finish in the SLIAC last season and enter their fourth year under Head Coach Eric Biehl. Eureka will lean on returning conference champions Madison Farris and Tayla Phillips to lead the way. Farris, the 2023-24 champion at 160 pounds, and Phillips, last year's champion at 207, were both named to the 2025-26 SLIAC Preseason Watch List.
