Red Devils Back on the Mat at Lakeland Scramble

SHEBOYGAN, Wis. – The Eureka women's wrestling team returned to competition on Sunday, taking part in the Lakeland Scramble after nearly a month away from the mat during winter break. The meet provided a valuable opportunity for the Red Devils to knock off rust and measure themselves against a competitive field as the second half of the season approaches.

Jaylah Campbell led the way for Eureka at 160 pounds, earning a sixth-place finish. Campbell faced a challenging bracket throughout the day, opening with a loss by fall before later picking up a win by forfeit. She continued to battle through tough matches, gaining experience against quality opponents while securing her spot in the final standings.

At 138 pounds, Randi Campe competed in a deep weight class and finished eighth overall. Campe fought through a demanding slate of matches, gaining valuable mat time despite a series of losses by fall and tech fall.

The Lakeland Scramble served as an important stepping stone for Eureka as the team continues to build conditioning and sharpen technique following the extended break.
