Cross Country Announces 2026 Schedule
EUREKA, Ill. – Eureka College cross country head coach Chris Robinson has announced the Red Devils' schedule for the 2026 season, featuring five regular season meets before postseason competition begins with the SLIAC Championships.
Eureka opens the season Sept. 4 at the Prairie Stars Invite, hosted by the University of Illinois Springfield. The meet holds special significance for the Red Devils, as Cole Glover set the program's 7K record there last season with a time of 24:00.78.
The Red Devils remain close to home for the next two competitions, traveling to the Bradley Intercollegiate in Peoria, Illinois, on Sept. 18 before competing at the Heartland Community College Invite in Bloomington, Illinois, on Sept. 25.
October begins with Eureka's lone out-of-state regular season meet as the Red Devils travel to West Allis, Wisconsin, for the Steve Travis Invitational on Oct. 3. The regular season concludes Oct. 16 at the Greenville Classic in Hillsboro, Illinois, where Glover broke the program's 8K record last season with a time of 26:18.29.
Postseason competition begins Oct. 31 at the SLIAC Cross Country Championships in Louisville, Kentucky. The Red Devils will then compete at the NCAA Division III Midwest Regional on Nov. 14 in Rock Island, Illinois, where individuals and teams will vie for qualification to the NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships.
Should the Red Devils qualify, the season will conclude at the NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships on Nov. 21 in Northfield, Minnesota.
