Eureka Travels to St. Norbert for NACC Road Matchup

EUREKA, Ill. – The Eureka football team is back on the road this weekend, heading north to take on St. Norbert in NACC action. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. Saturday at Schneider Stadium in De Pere, Wisconsin.

Eureka (2-4, 1-3 NACC) will look to respond after last week's loss against Benedictine. The Red Devils were led defensively by sophomore Chuck Weathersby and freshman Te'Lynn Jordan, who each tallied 11 tackles.
ST. NORBERT BREAKDOWN: St. Norbert (2-3, 2-1 NACC) enters Saturday's matchup coming off a hard-fought 17-14 win at Wisconsin Lutheran last weekend. The Green Knights used a balanced offensive attack behind running back Jacob McVane, who rushed for 118 yards and two touchdowns, and quarterback Michael Meneguzzo, who completed nine passes for 104 yards.
Defensively, John Seitz led the charge with eight tackles and an interception, while Nate Lee notched three sacks.
McVane sits eighth in the NACC in rushing (272 yards, 3 TDs), while Meneguzzo ranks eighth in passing yards, throwing for 628 yards and seven scores. Receiver Bailey Turenne adds another threat through the air with 234 yards and two touchdowns.
RED DEVIL SPOTLIGHT: Defensively, Weathersby and Jordan have combined for more than 80 tackles on the season, while Jovon Gibson ranks among the NACC's top 10 with 42 total tackles. On the defensive line, Derrick Payton Jr. has been a disruptive force, posting 6.5 tackles for loss and two sacks through six games.
Offensively, the Red Devils are paced by running back Ronnie Sanders, who ranks ninth in the NACC in rushing with 245 yards and two touchdowns. With Daryus Warren sidelined due to injury, Christian Noel will make his second consecutive start at quarterback. Noel will look to build chemistry with Omarion Carter, who continues to be a big-play threat in the passing game, averaging nearly 20 yards per reception.
