Liptak Earns Second Team All-SLIAC, Voyles Third Team

ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Eureka softball had two student-athletes earn St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference All-Conference honors, as Lexi Liptak (Lemont, Ill./Lemont) was named to the Second Team as an infielder and Ashlyn Voyles (Farmer City, Ill./Blue Ridge) earned Third Team honors as a utility player.

Liptak turned in a strong senior campaign for the Red Devils, batting .324 with a .383 on-base percentage and a .352 slugging percentage. She ranked fourth on the team in batting average while posting a .933 fielding percentage as a middle infielder. Liptak also recorded six RBIs and six stolen bases, the third-most on the team.

The infielder elevated her play during conference action, batting .400 with a .450 on-base percentage in SLIAC contests. Her batting average ranked second on the team during conference play, while her on-base percentage led the Red Devils. All six of her stolen bases and five of her six RBIs came against conference opponents.

Voyles earned Third Team recognition after leading Eureka offensively throughout the season. The junior posted a .338 batting average with a .409 on-base percentage and a .512 slugging percentage, adding a team-high 20 RBIs and 10 walks. She finished second on the team in slugging percentage, third in on-base percentage, and third in batting average.

In conference play, Voyles continued to produce at the plate, hitting .348 with a .404 on-base percentage and a .478 slugging percentage while driving in 11 RBIs against SLIAC opponents.

Mallory Kohnen (New Athens, Ill./New Athens) was named Eureka's representative on the SLIAC All-Sportsmanship Team.
